RFU have recently launched a range of initiatives to aide Rugby clubs across the country reduce the expenditure on energy bills. This is collectively known as the ‘Rugby Energy Club’. These initiatives can be broken down into four categories:
- The ‘Energy Purchasing Partnership’. This is to help clubs benefit from the best possible tariffs for its energy contracts
- Offers from suppliers allowing clubs to use technology to reduce their energy use and expenditure
- Standard advice to improve how clubs manage their energy use
- Funding options for technologies that enable clubs to save energy plus generate their own!
To support this the Rugby Football Foundation will provide funding to offer Green Deal Loans of up to the value of £20,000. Snug Network installers, InstaGroup, are happy to announce that they are supporting the RFU Green Deal Loans. These interest free loans will enable Rugby Clubs convert their facilities with energy saving technologies and cut their running costs year on year.
InstaGroup’s Director David Robson stated “This is an exciting opportunity for rugby clubs to modernise their facilities with energy-saving measures that can help cut their heating and lighting bill by many thousands of pounds. It’s a classic win-win situation. In the long term, the greatest benefits are to the teams and their fans.”
To ensure that you have the best knowledge of the energy saving measures suited to your club, InstaGroup, are offering free no obligation surveys to all qualifying rugby clubs.
