An increasingly popular source of renewable energy, solar panels can help households to control their costs and cut their carbon footprints. It’s no surprise then that solar photovoltaic (PV) technology is now a common sight across Oxfordshire, from Witney and Wallingford to Burford and Bicester.

How do they work?

Solar PV systems convert energy from the sun into electricity that you can use to power everything from your laptop to your lights. Like the rest of the UK, Oxfordshire may not benefit from sunshine year-round, but this is no reason to worry. Even on dull, cloudy days, the panels can generate electricity.

Installing solar panels could save you up to £474* a year!

The Snug Network also offer a 25 year performance guarantee on all installations and potentially provide you with an extra income.

Our local installers in Oxford & Oxfordshire can provide you with the best solar panel solution to reduce your household bills and generate electricity for your home all year-round.

How can I finance the installation?

The cost of solar panel installation varies depending on the nature and scale of the projects, but you should be able to see a return on your investment after six to eight years. You may want to fund the setup yourself. Alternatively, you can see if you qualify for the government’s Green Deal initiative. Under this scheme, you can receive a loan to help cover the cost of the installation. You then repay the money you owe through your electricity bills.

As well as helping you to reduce your spending on mains energy, solar solutions can enable you to earn money through Feed in Tariffs.
