Using energy from the sun, solar panels generate electricity via photovoltaic (PV) cell technology. Arranged in panels and mounted at either roof or ground level, solar PV devices feed the electricity into your home, thereby reducing household bills.

If you do not use all the power produced, then the excess solar energy will be fed into the national grid, and you will be paid by the Feed in Tariff. This makes solar panels a great investment for a county like West Sussex, which benefits from high levels of sunlight.

What are the costs involved?

The installation expenses of solar panels are usually recouped within six to eight years. Although some people do choose to self-fund their project, for others, the initial cost can be a financial barrier. Fortunately, there is help on offer in the form of Green Deal.

Installing solar panels could save you up to £474* a year!

The Snug Network also offer a 25 year performance guarantee on all installations and potentially provide you with an extra income.

What is Green Deal?

Launched by the UK government in 2013, Green Deal offers loans to help people fund energy efficiency improvements that have been identified through a home assessment. Repayments are then made from the money households save on their electricity bills.

Who can undertake an assessment?

A Green Deal survey must be carried out by an accredited surveyor. The Snug Network is one of the largest providers of these reports in West Sussex, carrying out over 200 each week across the UK.

Backed by InstaGroup, the Snug Network is a national framework of independent organisations that deliver a high-quality, personalised service at a local level. All of our members are professionally trained and can offer their expert advice on renewable energy systems and other energy-saving measures.

Arrange your assessment

Situated on the south coast of England, West Sussex benefits from more daylight hours than much of the rest of the country. As such, residents of towns and cities like Chichester, Worthing, Horsham and Crawley could maximise the benefits of solar technology. To arrange your Green Deal assessment, contact us today.
